SUMMER
there are certain things
that fall
within the realm
of you and me
silent
as a rainbow
they are often
hard to see
yet
when our eyes are closed
that is the moment
we are free
sometimes
that is easy to forget
as ocean water hangs
in Summer air
pressing sea grass scents
through rays of sunbeams
dancing in your hair
that magically trickle out
between warm raindrops glistening
as we sit on Summers’ sands
passing our time listening
to gulls aloft in
the oceans mist
serenading us
as we kissed
prisms reflect
the humid rush
dancing colours
of heated steaminess
that begged for crushed
ice across parched tongues
rainbow flavors
skipping across taste buds
a lemon ecstasy,
a raspberry bliss
the flavor of Summer
when ere we kiss
