October Inn

October Inn
the water

In silent sadness,
let Summer pass.
seek warm comfort
in it’s absence,
and peace
in whispered
mourning.
what then becomes,
is a process
that starts with
what is and
what was.
there is no map,
no time limit,
no easy road
nor calm waters.
no knowledge of
just where it goes
we are in life’s river
as it flows
into tomorrow.

More Colors of Fall – Before the cold comes, we will have shining moments of fire and light.
yes we will…

we fall
together
we lie
together
touch me
if you can
I need
to feel
one last time
that I may
understand

peering out
from underneath
places where I hide
with Autumn closing in

Just like Candy – Autumn’s leaves in watermelon and lemon and lime shine on the branch like sunlight through hard sweets.

soon will come
the letting go

October Road

sink or swim?
which will I do
I could drown
in an ocean of you
no longer will
I have to think
I’d fall into you
and gladly sink
